Oh Dicky - poor you - I thought it was a bit quiet on the love front next door at No8 - go on son - insist on your conjugal rights - but don't mention that I suggested such lewd rutting...

I first met my wife when we were both on a computer course in Battersea. Our early courtship happened in this very pub, we used to go to the Latchmere for a drink at lunchtimes. We'd discuss art and design whilst all the time I was really just thinking of ways I might get a bit of nooky. Now 13 years later we have a 5 year old daughter who goes to Latchmere school. I'm still trying to think of ways I might get a bit of nooky though.

No, I'm Wimbledon way but there's a Latchmere pub close to home in Battersea and I thought that might have been the reference. Regarding work, not too bad but never busy enough.

Latchmere in Kingston, David - you're not down this way are you? Hope tings are well with you - busy enough?
All the best, Andy

from which Latchmere does the group's name derive?

OK, so we all know that the Mums are a more socialable lot than us miserable swines. They talk more, share problems and swap stories. What do we do socially? Absolutely bugger all if the truth be told.

Dad Club was founded in Kingston, way back in 2002, we met up once every other month for beers and curry and legitimised it by giving it a name! Now, a few have departed for warmer shores but there's still a handful of us left.

Why not, I thought, start up a new branch of Dad Club, made up of Latchmere Dads. Yes, I know you can't really be arsed! But just sign up to spite my Mrs who thinks nothing will ever come of this site 'cos we're congenitally unable to organise a piss-up in a brewery...
