Dad's Clubs

Hello, I am trying to start up a monthly dads club in my local area but seem to be hitting a brick wall. Whilst researching the net I came across this ace sight, which I will be telling all the dads about. I wanted to ask your opinions on Dads clubs. How do we get you in, what would you like? So far I have heard Dads complain that everything is for mums - mother and toddler etc. We offer bacon butties free and some kind of activity. For some reason Dads just dont want to come. I am sure its not me personally! Please help!

You have an uphill task...near vertical in fact I fear. Yes of course we complain everything is for mums, but that doesn't mean we're going to make it any easier to set up a Dads Club. We like beer, cars, gadgets and cigarettes (even if we don't smoke). Sorry, I'm not being very helpful. Rather than asking what we want (we don't know), you could try asking the Dads why they don't come...you'll see there's plenty of excuses but few reasons.

i would just like to say i fear your battle is lost b4 u even begin, i am fortunate enougth to b in an area with 2 dad club both of which i attend, however the turn out is always very poor 4 both, if the numbers get anywhere near 10 we consider it to b busy
